D C Drew is registered with the Information Commissioners Office: Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) and comply with UK General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) 2018 as a lawful basis in collecting and controlling personal information with your consent.

 

Data Protection

With your consent as part of your Counselling Contract, I retain personal information provided by you. Your details and case notes are anonymised and stored securely & confidentially either electronically with password protection, or lockable storage if in paper format.

 

Contact details are held for one calendar year once sessions have closed. They are then deleted.

 

Session notes are held securely and confidentially for 7 years following the closing of sessions, after which they are destroyed or deleted appropriately.

 

As a qualified counsellor complying with industry and ethical standards, I receive regular supervision where relevant and appropriate anonymised session content may be discussed in confidence if necessary.

 

Information is disclosed to relevant bodies only in relation to a breach of confidentiality or to meet emergency medical needs as below.

 

You may withdraw your consent at any time. In this instance, negotiating a new contract could be considered.
